Back in June of this year, Dambusters Studios’ very own Steve Lewis officiated a Dad ’n’ Daughter attempt to break the world speed record at completing a level in Star Wars Battlefront in Survival mode with no blasters. The previous record stood at 10 minutes 24 seconds, Tim & Keren Young, the father and daughter duo behind the attempt positively smashed the record and completed the challenge in 9 minutes 18 seconds.
We're pleased to report that Tim & Keren's record attempt has just been validated and added into the Guinness World Records.
Aside from the gaming prowess required to break the Guinness World record, we also applaud Tim and Karen for their charitable efforts. Alongside their record attempt they also set up a just giving page for the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust raising both money and awareness for a great local cause that helps to protect Nottinghamshire’s wildlife, restore biodiversity and inspire people about the natural world. We’d like to encourage all our friends in the East Midland’s game development scene to take advantage of these spaces to help give them fresh perspective away from their workstations and reap the positive benefits from experiencing nature first hand.
